Microsoft Wireless Mouse/Keyboard Freezes

Problem:  Microsoft Wireless mouse and keyboard freezes while working within a program on the workstation.  It doesn’t matter what the program, it freezes or gives “Wireless Mouse battery is low” warning.  Tried new batteries, putting the receiver closer to the mouse and keyboard without any luck.  Even tried a new keyboard and mouse combo. Nothing worked.

Solution:  The user had her cell phone sitting next to the mouse.  As soon as I moved the cell away from the mouse, the unit began to function properly once again.  After reading through a few forums, I found out it is possible that the cell signal can interfere with the RF signal for the mouse and keyboard.
