iPhone 2.0 Update: Increasing Frustration

Still can’t activate my iPhone and it’s been 2 and a half hours later.  I’m watching Leo Leporte on twitlive.tv and I thinking I’m not the only one.  The chat line is going crazy with people that can’t update.  It looks like some can but they are the minority.  It also sounds like the Apple/AT&T stores are sending people home with un-activated iPhones because they are having the same issues as the rest of us.  My question is how long will it take?  My bet is that I won’t be able to activate until after 12:00 MST (I’m in Colorado), at least.  If the Apple/ATT&T stores are having issues, people like us, activating at home don’t stand much of a chance either.  The office pool has started how much longer do you think you will wait until your iPhone becomes useful again?

  1. Man, I wish I’d seen this prior to trying to upgrade to 2.0. I haven’t been able to reactivate since installing the upgrade. I keep getting an iTunes error.

  2. I finally got mine 2.5G to activate through iTunes. After about 3 hours and a huge headache, I finally have a 2.0ed phone. It seems you just have to play a bit of Cupertino Roulette to get a spot on Apple’s servers.
