Problem: Printing to a shared printer on my Windows Server 2008 machine. I send the print job to it and I will get an “error spooling message in the queue. Doesn’t matter if it’s a test page or a large document. All print jobs fail regardless. The print spooler service was running and checked the server logs and couldn’t find any errors.
Solution: After restarting the printer spooler service without any luck, I started looking into reinstalling the printer driver. As I was trying to find the setup files for the printer driver, I noticed that the C: drive had no space left. I freed up over a gig of space and printing resumed without any trouble.
Thank you very much!!!
Very helpful!!!!
Thanks ! You just saved my life… And of course that is the only server where our monitoring module failed… so no clue that there was no space anymore on C: …
Glad this post was able to help you out!!!
